尾声

纹身室外，一位干瘦的老人发出幽幽长叹。他几乎不敢相信自己所看到的与所听到的一切。

这位叫马鲁太的老人在很多年前，从暹罗来到了这里。那一年，他在路边看到了可怜的慕颜，心生隐恻，将她收为自己的徒弟，教她学会了用刀纹身的绝技。

第二年，马鲁太组建了一个马戏团，并在发现慕颜的同一个地方，他捡到了一对连体婴，救活了他们，并让他们在自己的马戏团里展览表演。

马鲁太并不认为自己救了三个孩子，是在做好事。他只认为，自己是在赎罪，为自己赎罪。

他年轻的时候，曾经因为家贫，无奈在重压之下，在暹罗抛弃了自己妻子与独生儿子，一走了之。等他靠着马戏团挣到钱后，回到暹罗再要寻找妻子与儿子时，才知道妻子已经死了，而儿子则不知所踪。

马鲁太只好劝慰自己，如果那个叫慕颜的女孩，那对叫陈子言与陈子伦的连体婴，以后能闯出一片天，也算自己不虚此生。

当三个孩子长大成人，并能依靠自己的能力生存后，马鲁太决定离开他们，继续去寻找自己的亲生儿子。

历经常人无法想象的困难后，马鲁太终于在机缘巧合之下，得知亲生儿子也离开暹罗，来到了这里，并且成为了一个出色的外科医生——此时，他的儿子已经改名为洪力仁。

马鲁太发现，儿子竟和慕颜成为了情侣，这让他非常开心。他知道，儿子没有钱与慕颜结婚，所以决定匿名赠送一笔钱给他。
